In April an exhibition of Ukrainian art took place in Munich under the title "Approchement. Kyiv-Munich.Part II." The participating artists and their curator Yuri Krulikovsky, director of the Kyiv Arts Support Fund, came at the invitation of their German colleagues whose works were exhibited in Ukraine the previous year.
I had the pleasure to meet this interesting group of artists. Mind you, not all of them were strangers. Last year, Oksana Stratijchuk, an accomplished and well-established graphic artist, exhibited her works in The Hague within the framework of the event "Ukrainian Women in Arts and Culture", organized by Matrix Orange. A pleasant discovery was the Absinth Reality group represented by Vadym Shamanov (painting) and Olexander Shymbarovsky (photography, videoart). Both artist will be exhibiting their works in Amsterdam this month.
