Dr. Natalia Burianyk is a Ukraine-born Canadian living in The Hague. She is a graduate of the University of Alberta, Canada, with an MA in Linguistics and PhD in Literature. She completed the Haskayne Management Development Program at the Haskayne School of Business, University of Calgary, Canada. Natalia has an extensive teaching experience, having taught different levels of Ukrainian and Russian at the University of Saskatchewan, University of Alberta, and Harvard University.
After graduation she started a consulting company in Calgary which provided cross-cultural training for Canadian and American companies involved internationally. Among her corporate clients were Enbridge, BP, Halliburton, TransCanada Pipelines, Anadarko, Tri-Can Well Service.

As a consultant, Natalia acted as Coordinator of the Canadian Organizing Committee for the privately held Canada-Ukraine meetings in the energy sector. Her company organized several senior-level international business forums featuring emerging markets with the participation of Naftogas of Ukraine (Ukrainian National Oil and Gas Company), the World Bank, Chevron Canada Resources, Nova Chemicals, Enbridge, Agency for Rational Energy Use (Ukraine), Gastransit (Ukraine-Russia-Turkey), Governments of Canada and Alberta. She is past president of the Alberta Chapter of Women in International Trade (OWIT), past Vice-President Chapter Development of OWIT International, past board member of the Exporters’ and Importers’ Association of Alberta. She is a member of European Professional Women’s Network.

Natalia loves art, literature, travelling, good food and wine, and shopping in Paris.

Ms. Chrystyna Salam is a Paris-based art consultant and art dealer. She graduated from the University of Toronto with an Honor BA in Modern Languages and Literature, majoring in French and Russian. She then moved to France where she earned a degree in French Civilization at the University of Aix-en-Provence and Marseille, followed by a Master's degree in Modern Languages and Literature at the Sorbonne.

She then took a three-year course at the Paris School of Tourism. Further on she spent two years at the Ecole du Louvre taking art courses. After her studies Chrystyna worked for several years with the prestigious modern-art expert Andre Schoeller, based in Paris.

Chrystyna's business activities led her to open a gallery in Houston, Texas. Simultaneously she continued with her art consulting activities opening an office on the Avenue Montaigne and later a Gallery in St.Germain-de-Pres, Paris. Besides the US and Europe, Chrystyna's business travel took her to Saudi Arabia and the Middle East. Chrystyna is an expert in Italian glass of the 1950s and European ceramics of the 1950s-1960s.

Chrystyna's biggest sin is her curiosity about life. She loves sports, entertaining, designing apartments and managing her Muslim-Christian family. She divides her time between Paris and Lebanon.

Michael Burianyk was born and raised in western Canada. Dr. Burianyk has Bachelor degrees in Physics and Geological Sciences and an M.Sc. in Geophysics from the University of Saskatchewan.
He continued his studies and earned a Ph.D. in Crustal Geophysics from the University of Alberta. After a few years in academic research he entered the Petroleum industry and is currently a research Geophysicist with Shell International based in The Netherlands.

In his professional life he has held several chairman positions with the Society of Exploration Geophysicists, including Chair of their Global Affairs Committee.

Besides his scientific work he has wide-ranging interest in Fantastic Literature, Graphic Literature, history, archaeology, linguistics and languages, photography, and antique maps and photographs. He lives in The Hague.
